Fear is a form of self preservation. A defense mechanism.
When trust is lost, it's tough to gain back. It needs to be earned, slowly and surely. There are 2 sides, it's reciprocal. It's not just a matter of not being scared anymore. The other person needs to show that they can be trusted.
I may have just surpassed you on the deep-ness factor, lol!
